Basketball Recap: East Moline Christian Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when East Moline Christian challenged Faith Christian on Friday. The East Moline Christian Eagles had to suffer through a 66-21 loss at the hands of the Faith Christian Falcons. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Faith Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Bivins, who posted six points in addition to five boards and three steals. What's more, Bivins also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Isaiah Schuler was another key player, going 6 for 13 en route to 13 points.

East Moline Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Faith Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season.

Looking ahead, East Moline Christian is taking a road trip to face off against Illinois Central Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Faith Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-25 victory against Morning Star Academy on the 7th.
