Volleyball Recap: Poston Butte Comes Up Short

If Poston Butte was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Amphitheater last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Broncos came up short against the Eastmark Firebirds on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Firebirds recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Poston Butte was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-19.

Eastmark's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Arjun Sagoo, who had eight digs and four assists.

Poston Butte's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Eastmark, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Poston Butte has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Cactus Shadows on the 9th. As for Eastmark, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Peoria on the 9th.
