Basketball Recap: Gregory Comes Up Short

Gregory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 65-20 loss at the hands of Andes Central/Dakota Christian. The Gorillas were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-9.

Despite the defeat, Gregory saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Regan Graesser posted 14 points. That was a full 70% of Gregory's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Gracie Biggins also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steals of the season.

Gregory's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Andes Central/Dakota Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Gregory has already played their next matchup (against Lyman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Andes Central/Dakota Christian has already played their next game, a 55-41 victory against Burke on the 9th.
