Basketball Recap: Raritan Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Raritan can now relate to. They were dealt an 84-43 defeat at the hands of the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th in New Jersey, while the Bulldogs are ranked 44th in New Jersey).

Raritan has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. Rumson-Fair Haven is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Raritan nor Rumson-Fair Haven have any future games scheduled.
