Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Blanchet vs. Kennewick

The Bishop Blanchet Bears will challenge the Kennewick Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bishop Blanchet had taken Seattle Prep down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end last Tuesday. The Bears fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bishop Blanchet came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Seattle Prep are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Kennewick had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They beat Bellarmine Prep by a goal, winning 2-1. The win was familiar territory for Kennewick, who have now won three games in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop Blanchet fell to 12-1-2. As for Kennewick, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
