Volleyball Recap: Bel Air Comes Up Short

Bel Air had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-2 to make it five. They fell just short of the Ysleta Indians by a score of 2-1. If the Highlanders were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Indians when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Ysleta, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since October 1, 2024.

Ysleta was led to victory by Crystal Espinoza and Raelene Lopez. Espinoza had 17 digs and four assists, while Lopez had 13 assists and two aces.

Bel Air has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Immanuel Christian on the 16th. As for Ysleta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Horizon on the 16th.
