Basketball Recap: Pickens Academy Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Spirit Catholic, Pickens Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They secured a 45-40 W over the Pickens County Tornadoes. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 45-42 last Friday.

Pickens Academy's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8. As for Pickens County, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pickens Academy will head out to square off against Berry at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pickens County, they will venture away from home to take on West Lowndes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
