Recap: Leadership vs. Ripon Indians
After a string of five wins, Leadership's's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 67-44 walloping at the hands of Ripon. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Leadership has scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Landon Gillespie, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Downs, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Leadership's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Ripon, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Leadership and Tennyson will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Tennyson will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Ripon and Stone Ridge Christian will face off at 11:00 a.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Stone Ridge Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 233 points over their last three matchups.
