Softball Recap: Carrollwood Day Has No Trouble Against Cambridge Christian

Carrollwood Day was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cambridge Christian on Monday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Maya Fuller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Addison Prieto was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Olivia Fuller, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Carrollwood Day was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cambridge Christian only posted a batting average of .182.
