Elliot Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 23-11 to Stockton Christian. On the bright side, the 11- run effort marked Elliot Christian's highest-scoring matchup to date.

Javin Alejo put in work no matter where he played. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Alejo was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Zachary Deaton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Emiliano Zapata, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Elliot Christian's record now sits at 0-7. As for Stockton Christian, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elliot Christian will square off against Aspire Langston Hughes Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.13 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Stockton Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Delta Charter at 4:00 p.m. on May 2.
