Softball Game Preview: Nolan Catholic Vikings vs. THESA

Nolan Catholic is a perfect 5-0 against THESA since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against THESA at 7:00 p.m. Nolan Catholic has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 11.

Nolan Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Trinity Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Vikings fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday.

Mallory Laux was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Padilla, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, THESA made easy work of Pantego Christian back in March and carried off a 17-1 victory.

Nolan Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-17-1. As for THESA, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Nolan Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over THESA when the teams last played back in March, winning 14-10. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do THESA have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
