Recap: Euclid Panthers vs. Cleveland Heights Tigers
The Euclid Panthers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 39-0 loss at the hands of Cleveland Heights. While losing is never fun, Euclid can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Cleveland Heights is ranked 36th).
Euclid's loss was their 11th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 13-1 Hudson and 8-3 Medina (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 59.3% over those games). As for Cleveland Heights, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Euclid does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cleveland Heights has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Berea-Midpark at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Berea-Midpark is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
