Softball Recap: Arleta Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Arleta was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Bravo Knights by a score of 8-3. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered an 11-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

OLIVIA FIGUEROA spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, Arleta let ADRIANA VASQUEZ DURAN and KARINA SANCHEZ run wild. VASQUEZ DURAN scored a run while going 1-for-4, while SANCHEZ went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. What's more, VASQUEZ DURAN posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

Arleta's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Bravo, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Arleta will face off against South Gate at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bravo, they will take on Lincoln at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
