Basketball Recap: Zalen Griffin Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Emery

Coliseum College Prep Academy won the last time they faced Emery and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions walked away with a 40-32 win over the Spartans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coliseum College Prep Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zalen Griffin, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 13 points. Griffin is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Siyon Edmondson, who posted ten points.

Coliseum College Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Emery, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Coliseum College Prep Academy will face off against Quarry Lane at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Emery, they will take on Summit Tamalpais at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
