The matchup between Eureka and Seckman on Monday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Jaguars. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Eureka, bringing their record up to 17-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Seckman, they dropped their record down to 13-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Eureka wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 loss against Kirkwood on the 14th. As for Seckman, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against De Smet Jesuit on the 13th.
