Basketball Recap: Fairbury Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Brodie Prellwitz and Jonah Parrack

Fairbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 70-46 to the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds. The Jeffs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.

Fairbury's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jonah Parrack, who posted 14 points, and Brodie Prellwitz, who went 6-for-13 en route to 17 points. Thanks to that strong game, Parrack now owns an excellent 41.7% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was James Martin, who had seven points.

Fairbury's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Johnson County Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Fairbury has already played their next game, a 51-40 win against Tri County on the 3rd. As for Johnson County Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-54 victory against Palmyra on the 4th.
