Football Recap: St. Ignatius College Preparatory Piles Up the Points Against Menlo School + How To Watch

St. Ignatius College Preparatory extended their postseason success on Friday against Menlo School. They claimed a resounding 42-6 victory over the Knights. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four contests by 28 points or more so far this season.

Caedon Afsharipour was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 181 yards and five touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of St. Ignatius College Preparatory's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 4-5 otherwise. Zui Shelton was another key player, picking up 72 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

The win (which was St. Ignatius College Preparatory's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.3 points on average over those games. As for Menlo School, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
