After starting their season with two straight games on the road, Centennial is finally coming home. They will look to take advantage of their home-field as they take on the Brophy College Prep Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Centennial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Highland, who was ranked second in their home state at the time (Centennial was ranked ninth). Centennial fell 24-17 to Highland on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Coyotes have lost by exactly seven points.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Owen Reynoso, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards.

Meanwhile, Brophy College Prep got themselves on the board against Regis Jesuit on Friday, but Regis Jesuit never followed suit. They breezed by the Raiders at home to the tune of 44-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

A big part of the victory came down to the chemistry between Case Vanden Bosch and his top target Rylan Umphrey. Vanden Bosch rushed for 47 yards and three touchdowns while Umphrey threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. Umphrey got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 70 yards.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Brophy College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything went Centennial's way against Brophy College Prep in their previous meeting back in September of 2022 as Centennial made off with a 28-7 victory. Will Centennial repeat their success, or does Brophy College Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
