Softball Recap: Beulah Beats Smiths Station for Their Third Straight Win

Beulah had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Smiths Station Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Panthers back in February, they had to take a 5-3 defeat.

Beulah saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maci Wingo, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Beulah back to even at 8-8. As for Smiths Station, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-1 record this season.

Beulah will face off against Sparkman at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Smiths Station, they will be playing at home against Montgomery Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Montgomery Catholic has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something Smiths Station will no doubt try to take advantage of.
