Recap: Gateway Eagles vs. LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Gateway Eagles had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 62-50 win over the Cowboys/Cowgirls. The victory was familiar territory for Gateway who now have three in a row.

Tavian Cook continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 33 points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Davis, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Gateway is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for LaBelle, their loss dropped their record down to 12-15.

Gateway's road trip will continue as they head out to face Estero at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. One thing working in Gateway's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. LaBelle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
