Volleyball Recap: Westmoore Snags 12th Victory in Last 15 Games

Westmoore's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Moore Lions by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Westmoore had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-15, 25-21, 25-17.

Naomi Perkins paced Westmoore's offense, picking up 20 kills. Perkins got some help from Olivia Branum and her 44 assists. Morgan Cross controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Westmoore is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Moore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Westmoore will welcome Deer Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moore, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Northside on the 3rd.
