Saturday, 3 p.m. Central timeWhy it's big: Two of the best one-loss teams in the Texas 6A/Division I bracket battle for survival in a round-two playoff game Saturday afternoon.
The only blemish for The Woodlands (10-1) is a 14-7 loss versus No. 7 Katy in Week 3. Not bad, considering Katy has won its other 10 games by an average margin of 52 points.
Westlake (10-1) was beaten, 35-14, by state-ranked Lake Travis four weeks ago but bounced back to thump its next three opponents by a combined score of 149-31
Names to watch: The Woodlands hasn't allowed 20 or more points to any opponent all season. A key player on the Highlanders' defense is senior safety
Antoine Winfield jr. He is a three-star prospect whose father was a three-time All-Pro cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings.
Conversely, the strength of Westlake's team is its offense, which averages over 43 points per game. At the controls in the Chaparrals' explosive passing attack is junior
Sam Ehlinger. He's a three-star prospect committed to Texas.
