Baseball Preview: Bath Wildcats vs. Perry Commodores
The Bath Wildcats have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome the Perry Commodores at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bath was handed a eight-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Wayne Trace on Thursday. Bath came out on top in a nail-biter against Wayne Trace and snuck past 9-7. The victory was just what Bath needed coming off of an 8-0 loss in their prior matchup.
Joel Rasor made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Rasor was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Bath got a great performance from Clay Boedicker as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off ten hits (and only one walk).
