Recap: West Johnston Wildcats vs. Fike Demons        
        
		
            
 The West Johnston Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a  52-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fike. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Johnston in their matchups with Fike: they've now lost six in a row.
 Fike got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jewel Brewington out in front who  scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emory Skinner, who  scored 12 points.
 West Johnston's loss  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-10. As for Fike, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
 West Johnston will be playing in front of their home fans against Southern Wayne at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Southern Wayne comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the  team is of course eager to reverse. As for Fike, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Smithfield-Selma at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The timing isn't great for Smithfield-Selma: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home, while Fike has snatched up nine consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
