Softball Recap: North Takes a Loss

It was a classic North v. South duel when North faced off against South on Friday. The Saxons came up short against the Spartans, falling 12-6. The Saxons' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Corina Alvillar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Gilardi, who went 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for South, they pushed their record up to 7-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

North has already played their next contest, an 18-3 loss against Downey on the 5th. As for South, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against El Segundo at 3:15 p.m. on the 16th.
