Football Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia's last matchup with Bear Grass Charter could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Wildcats took a blow against the Bears, falling 38-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Bear Grass Charter had a senior duo take command as Vance Keel gained 149 total yards and two touchdowns and Connor Clifton rushed for 133 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries. Keel's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bear Grass Charter, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
