Sevier County has gone a perfect 10-0 against South-Doyle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Smoky Bears will face off against the Cherokees at 5:30 p.m. South-Doyle took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sevier County, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Sevier County got the win against Morristown-Hamblen East by a conclusive 17-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Smoky Bears.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for South-Doyle's offense. They fell just short of Halls by a score of 1-0 on Saturday.

South-Doyle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Underwood, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Sevier County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for South-Doyle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13-1 record this season.

Sevier County skirted past South-Doyle 3-2 in their previous matchup back in March of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Smoky Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
