Volleyball Recap: Las Plumas Takes a Loss

Las Plumas came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Chico Panthers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

While Las Plumas was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Chico's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 27-25.

With the defeat, Las Plumas broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Chico, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Las Plumas will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shasta at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Chico, they will face off against Oroville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
