After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, the Orlando Science Orcas were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Holy Cross Lutheran Academy out 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Orlando Science has posted since December 11, 2023.

Orlando Science's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Glen Wickersham led the charge by scoring 11 points. Kenneth Reyes was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.

Orlando Science's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Orlando Science is on the road again on Friday and plays the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Trinity Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Orcas like a good challenge. Holy Cross Lutheran Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
