 After two games on the road, Dansville is heading back home. They will take on the Avon Braves at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Dansville is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.3  runs per game  this season.
 Dansville's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave  on Tuesday, when they got past Pavilion's usually-dominant pitching crew. Everything went Dansville's way against Pavilion as Dansville made off with  an  11-1 win. The result was nothing new for Dansville, who have now won three matches by nine  runs or more  so far this season.
  Brian Geiger was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jake Kreiley, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-1.
 Meanwhile, Avon fell victim to Pavilion and their airtight pitching crew  on Monday. They suffered a  tough 14-0 defeat at the hands of the Golden Gophers. The  game marked the first time this year in which Avon was not able to get on the board.
 Dansville's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Avon, they now  have a losing record at 2-3.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Dansville has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Avon struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 10.8. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Dansville suffered a grim  10-1 defeat to Avon  when the teams last played  back in March of 2018. Thankfully for Dansville,  Maxx Countryman (who   didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
