Soccer Game Preview: Foothill vs. Enterprise

The Foothill Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Enterprise Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Foothill's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Foothill's offense. They lost 4-0 to Pleasant Valley on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 940th, while the Vikings are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, Enterprise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Chico, falling 7-0.

Enterprise's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Foothill took their victory against Enterprise when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foothill since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
