Northside had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They blew past the Franklin County Eagles 66-32. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Eagles are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northside pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Franklin County, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Northside will welcome Fleming at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin County, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Franklin County Eagles duke it out with the Staunton River Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Staunton River has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
