Football Game Preview: Community Braves vs. Aubrey Chaparrals + How To Watch

Community hasn't had much luck against Aubrey recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Braves will venture away from home to square off against the Chaparrals at 7:30 p.m. Community has given up an average of 45.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Community was beaten by Panther Creek 63-21. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 669th, while the Panthers are ranked 55th).

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Grayson Calloway and Graylyn Fry. Fry had a great game and threw for 356 yards and four touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes. Meanwhile, Calloway was balling out in the loss, throwing for 264 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 78.1% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score.

Meanwhile, Aubrey took a blow against Paris on Friday, falling 49-17.

Community's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Aubrey, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Community was dealt a bruising 77-36 defeat at the hands of Aubrey in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
