Baseball Recap: Benedictine Find Success

Benedictine had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Gonzaga Eagles 5-3.

Benedictine's victory bumped their record up to 6-8-1. As for Gonzaga, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Benedictine will take on Highland in a tournament on Monday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Cadets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Gonzaga, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bishop O'Connell at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
