Volleyball Recap: Pinewood Prep Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against First Baptist School on Tuesday, Pinewood Prep came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 3-1 to Palmetto Christian Academy on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Palmetto Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

Pinewood Prep started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-14.

Pinewood Prep's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-7-2.

Coming up, Pinewood Prep is taking a road trip to square off against Wilson Hall at 11:11 a.m. on Saturday. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they will welcome Porter-Gaud at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
