Basketball Recap: Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Gets the Win

Pineapple Cove Classical Academy won the last time they faced Synergy Magnet K12, and Julian Garcia did his part to make sure it happened again. The Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots took down the Synergy Magnet K12 Saints 41-27 on Thursday thanks in part to Garcia, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 16 points along with eight boards and three steals. Those three steals gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Barna, who posted five points and 12 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played.

Pineapple Cove Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Synergy Magnet K12, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Pineapple Cove Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-37 win against Brevard Christian on the 16th. Synergy Magnet K12 will take on Westwood in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
