Volleyball Recap: Vasquez Snags 12th Victory in Last 14 Games

There's no place like home for Vasquez, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Palmdale Academy Charter School Jaguars on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on April 3rd.

One reason for the win was Vasquez's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-11.

Diego Camacho paced Vasquez's offense, picking up 18 kills. Camacho got some help from Oliver Gates and his 20 assists. Camacho was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Vasquez is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Palmdale Academy Charter School, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

After both having extra time off, Vasquez and Rosemead will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmdale Academy Charter School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
