Basketball Recap: Fruitport Drops Highest Score of Season Against Kelloggsville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fruitport). They breezed by the Kelloggsville Rockets to the tune of 52-23 on Monday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Trojans with their most commanding win of the season.

Fruitport found their leader in sophomore Izabel Hanson-Wilbur, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 17 points along with six steals and five boards. Hanson-Wilbur is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Pate, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Fruitport was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.
