Volleyball Recap: Philip Barbour Beats Braxton County for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Philip Barbour had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Braxton County Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Colts not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 12, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Philip Barbour took every set by at least 20 points. The final score came out to 25-2, 25-3, 25-5.

Philip Barbour found their leader in sophomore Ansley Bolyard, who had seven aces and three digs. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Bolyard.

Philip Barbour was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Philip Barbour's win bumped their record up to 40-11-2. As for Braxton County, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

As of now, neither Philip Barbour nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
