The Santiam Wolverines are taking a road trip to challenge the Regis Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Santiam's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five matches.
Santiam is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 25-6 margin over Central Linn on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Cobras: they've now won eight in a row.

Santiam let Lindsey Briley and Aubrey Ohrt run wild. Briley went 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs, while Ohrt got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and three RBI. Those five RBI gave Briley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddie Allen, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Santiam always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .737. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .618 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Regis hadn't done well against Kennedy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams won by a run and slipped past the Trojans 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since May 9, 2024.
Addie Bishop made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophie Wagner, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Olivia Adams was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs.
Regis' victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Santiam, their record is now 12-6.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Santiam has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .540. However, it's not like Regis struggles in that department as they've averaged .505. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
