Volleyball Game Preview: Inderkum Tigers vs. Bella Vista Broncos

Inderkum is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Bella Vista a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Inderkum Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Bella Vista Broncos at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Wednesday, Inderkum didn't have quite enough to beat Christian Brothers and fell 3-2.

Inderkum wouldn't go down easily and took Christian Brothers into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-19, 25-18, 15-25, 15-10.

Despite the defeat, Inderkum saw an underclassman step up: sophomore David Bui had 18 digs and two aces. Those 18 digs set a new season-high mark for Bui.

Meanwhile, Bella Vista came up short against Rio Americano on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 17-25, 25-16.

Inderkum's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Bella Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Inderkum skirted past Bella Vista 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
