The Southeast Pirates will head out to take on the Crestview Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Southeast is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Southeast is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Newton Falls with a sharp 16-2 win on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Savannah Powell looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Southeast got a massive performance out of Ava Stephens, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Muncy, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.

Meanwhile, Crestview fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Salem on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Quakers by a score of 5-4. That makes it the first time this season the Rebels have let down their home crowd.

Makayla Mckee spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Crestview saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Smith, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Rylee Cloutier also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
