Football Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

After soaring to 31 points the game before, Westview was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Mountainside Mavericks. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Mavericks: they've now lost four in a row.

Charlie Barton threw for 83 yards and one TD. Kenya Roberts-Marshal was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Westview's record now sits at 4-4. As for Mountainside, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Westview will take on rival Southridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mountainside is set to square off against their familiar foe Beaverton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
