            Softball Recap: Dougherty Valley Wildcats vs. Dublin Gaels        
        
		
        
        
            Dougherty Valley took a 11-run  loss the last time they faced off against Dublin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats skirted past the Gaels  9-8. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Katie Osborn made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Osborn was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024.

 In other batting news,  Lauren Lohe was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sydney Henry, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Dougherty Valley  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They are  a perfect 10-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Dougherty Valley now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for Dublin,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-17.
As of now, neither Dougherty Valley nor the Gaels have any future games scheduled.
