Basketball Recap: Ozzy Toledano Key Part of a Team Effort in Warriors Win

Legacy Academy won the last time they faced Victory Christian and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went the Legacy Academy Warriors' way against the Victory Christian Conquerors as the Legacy Academy Warriors made off with a 61-40 victory. The Warriors pushed the score to 52-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Conquerors cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ozzy Toledano, who went 6 for 13 en route to 19 points along with six boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Toledano a new career-high in points. Jude Gallagher was another key player, going 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals.

Legacy Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-19. As for Victory Christian, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Legacy Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 76-68 victory against Horatio on the 31st. Victory Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
