Faith Christian came into Thursday's game looking for another win against True North, but Jericho Martinez wouldn't allow it. The Knights skirted past the Saints 55-52 for which the team can thank Martinez, who posted seven points and 15 boards. True North is 5-2 when Martinez posts ten or more rebounds, but 0-5 otherwise.
Another player making a difference was Silas Rider, who made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points and six boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played.
Despite the loss, Faith Christian still got an impressive performance from Aiden Maldonado, who shot 64% from beyond the arc on his way to 29 points. Thanks to that strong game, Maldonado now owns an excellent 46% field goal percentage. Jorge Estrada was another key player, putting up 21 points.
True North's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Faith Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.
