Baseball Recap: Easton Area Beats Bethlehem Catholic for Their Third Straight Victory

While Easton Area didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bethlehem Catholic Hawks on Tuesday, sneaking past 11-9. Winning may never get old, but the Rovers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Cole Ordway, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brogan Pagotto, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Ordway wasn't the only one making solid contact: Easton Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

Easton Area's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Bethlehem Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Easton Area will welcome Freedom at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasant Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
