Football Recap: Trinity Beats Annville-Cleona for Their Third Straight Win

Trinity had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Annville-Cleona Dutchmen 42-21 on Friday. The Shamrocks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Trinity's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Harris led the charge by rushing for 209 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. Harris was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards. Another receiver making a difference was Maddox Jarzynski, who picked up 97 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Trinity was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 245 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The victory (which was Trinity's third in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games. As for Annville-Cleona, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Trinity will take on Berks Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Annville-Cleona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
