Soccer Recap: Smithton Triumphs

Smithton barely beat St. Paul Lutheran the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand the Saints a 4-0 shutout on Thursday.

Smithton's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Smithton will host Fulton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Smithton will be up against Fulton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.5 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they will take on Cole Camp at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
