Softball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-7 to the St. Pauls Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Tuesday.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for St. Pauls, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Clinton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for St. Pauls, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lumberton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
